ABOUT US

In 2024, the Gangarosa International Health Foundation launched a new and scalable model focused on long-term public health improvement. Instead of short-term solutions, the model emphasizes human-centered design, creative community involvement, and local ownership to make sure the impact continues even after projects end.

This community-based approach improves health outcomes while also building leadership, resilience, and sustainable systems for change. A key part of the model is creating a volunteer network of community ambassadors and trainers who promote healthy practices, train others, and support long-term adoption.

As local communities become stronger and more capable, GIHF gradually shifts into a supporting role by offering technical guidance while empowering communities to lead and grow independently.
